Transportation Options

Volunteers are responsible for their transportation to Israel to participate in this program.

Here are a couple of helpful options -

Ayelet Tours -

Ayelet is a travel agency that is familiar with the VFI-USA / Sar-El work program and its requirements. Ayelet can make reservations on any airline that currently flies into Israel, and will arrange your travel from the departure location of your choice. They will also endeavor to obtain the most economical fare possible. Be sure to mention VFI or Sar-El when arranging tickets by gibing them the code: VFI-1982.

Tel: 800-237-1517 x-329 - Lioudmila (Lu) - mention code: VFI-1982

EL-AL -

EL-AL, Israel's national airline, in appreciation to VFI-USA / Sar-El volunteers, has a special offer - call 1-800-223-6700 and mention code SAR101. Booking must be made with an EL-AL ticket office. Although EL-AL prices might be slightly higher than other airlines - they are the standard for airline security. No matter what the circumstances - EL-AL will be flying to Israel when other airlines are afraid to.

Do it on Your Own -

Volunteers are also welcome to make their own arrangements, or use their own travel agent if preferred.

If you don't know where to start - you can start here.

NOTE - Volunteers MUST be present at Ben Gurion airport between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM on the program start day (Sunday or Monday) to meet representatives of Sar-El and then be transported to the work program location. Flight arrangements must be coordinated with this meeting time.
