Program Costs

A typical question - how much will this volunteer program cost?

PROGRAM FEE - $80
VFI-USA is an all volunteer program. The program fee goes towards sustaining this program in the US. Your program fee is used to help pay the bill associated with advertising, web sites, telephones, e-mail accounts, faxing, brochures, forms, etc.

TRANSPORTATION - Volunteers are responsible for their transportation to Israel. Follow this link to see some transportation options.

The Good News - Because VFI-USA as a non-profit organization - the transportation costs associated with the volunteer work program AND the program fee may be deductible on your taxes. Consult the applicable IRS forms and publications (Publication 526) or your tax accountant.

POCKET MONEY - Volunteers will need pocket money for their week-ends off (most of or part of Friday and Saturday (Sabbath)) and buying incidentals and any other items like gifts or while traveling in Israel.

The Good News - while on the work program - your housing, food, tours, lectures, clothing are covered by Sar-El.
