The GOALS of the Volunteers for Israel® (VFI) - PacificNW is to:

• Increase the number of individuals and groups from the Pacific Northwest that participate in VFI / Sar-El volunteer work groups.
Our goal for the year 2009 is 30 volunteers.

• Increase the visibility of the VFI / Sar-El work program in the Pacific Northwest

• Support the VFI-USA organizational goals

• Support Sar-El organizational goals

"Sar-El" - The National Project for Volunteers for Israel - was founded as a non-profit, non-political organization ("Sar-El" is the Hebrew acronym meaning "Service for Israel").

Over the years, volunteers from other countries came to partake in the project, and to date, Sar-El is represented in some 30 countries world-wide. Historically, Sar-El's greatest number of volunteers have come from Volunteers for Israel® (VFI) in the US, Volontariat Civil (U.P.I.) in France, and Sar-El Canada.
